Andy Mills - Passion in Business

November 3rd, 2018

Andy Mills is the Executive Chairman and President at Archegos Capital Management. He was the former Chief Executive Officer of the Thomson Financial and Professional Publishing unit of The Thomson Corporation, where he was also a member of the Board. Andy is also a Senior Fellow at The King’s College in New York City, where he was previously the President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is Co-Chair Grace & Mercy Foundation and Co-Chair of Theology of Work Project.

Despite his daunting résumé, Andy is on the short list of the kindest, humblest, most generous Christ-followers I know.

In this video from Redeemer Presbyterian Church's Entrepreneurship Initiative Conference, Andy affirms the importance of passion in business but offers a word of caution: If you are pursuing a passion you want to do it right.

According to Mills, a meaningful passion begins with an unambiguous response to the love of Jesus Christ that is animated by three things: an alignment with reality; an over-arching sense of purpose; and a unique set of value propositions.

Hear more from Andy as he describes a vision for work at the New Canaan Society conference.
